Plug into the pulse of expression with connect, a merging of international and local artists offering theatre; live music and soundscapes; film & video; multimedia installations; webcasting; painting; photography; sculpture, virtual realms and electronic domains. This three night interactive performance event is presented by One People,in cooperation with 7 Stages at the Hastings Seeds Factory on February 11, 12 & 19, 2000. Artwork may also be viewed Monday through Friday, February 14th through the 18th from 1 to 5 pm (or by appointment). |

Scheduled artists and performers include from overseas, DAH Teatar, a women's contemporary theatre group (Belgrade, Yugoslavia); and crack'd-everyday-electronic musicians, Voice Crack (Switzerland). Belgian producer, Jean-Paul Dispaux presents the Atlanta premiere of his award-winning documentary on the Brazilian movement form of capoeira, Capoeira: New Horizons. Local artists include: Jusueme (Kevin Andrews, Chris Griffin, Paul Jorgensen, Sean McNally and Harold Selliers) whose soundscapes accompany virtual artist Maurice Clifford's, The Aleph. Dribbling Hermits, Daffodil, David Patterson and Roger Ruzow provide multifarious musical experiences and poet Mikel K. . Returning to Atlanta: Grady Cousins brings new performance and thoughts to share; also David Clair, Nicole Torre Clair and Lisa Ward, experimental filmmakers now based in New York City. Local filmmakers screening work include Carol Cassidy, Charity Ellis, Anthony Hakmati and Jud Hockersmith. Painting, photography and sculpture by local artists Alice Nisbet, Evan Levy, Eric McAfee, Bobby Abrahamson, Neil Fried, Scott Childs, Benita Carr, Christopher Moulder & Kris Gunderson will also be exhibited.
